Error in failure body

Hi,

I have configured a 28 layer unidirectional laminate of T300/PR319 material.
When I try to draw the failure body for the first ply and last ply, following error occurs as " there is at least one zero strength value for material T300/PR319".
For additional inormation, I have considered only the axial force and moment i.e. (Fx and Mx)
How can get this error solved?

Hi,

you set one of the five strength values (strength in fibre direction for tension/compression, strength perpendicular to fibre direction for tension/compression, shear strength) of your material to zero. You have to add the missing strength values.

Hi,

ok I see. All strength values have to be positive in eLamX even the compression values. Internally it is handled as negative strength. I think this is equal to nearly all finite element solvers. You allways have to give positive strength values.
